사랑이 머무는 그 곳

Splendor in the Grass

What though the radiance which was once so bright

Be now forever taken from my heart

Though nothing can bring back the hour

Of splender in the grass, of glory in the flower

We will grive not, rather find strength

in what remains behind;

In the primal sympathy

Which having been must ever be,

In the soothing thoughts that spring

Out of human suffering,

In the faith that looks though death,

초원의 빛

한때 그다지도 찬란했던 광휘

지금은 영영히 사라지고

초원의 빛이여! 꽃의 영광을

돌이킬바이 없어도

결코 서러워하지 않으리라

차라리 뒤에 남은 것 속에서 힘을 되찾으리

존재의 영원함을 티없는 가슴에 품고

인간의 고뇌를 사색으로 달래며

죽음도 눈빛으로 부수듯

티없는 믿음으로 세월 속에 남으리라.
